As twilight falls on Hazel Village and the crickets of evening begin to chirp, the animal friends meet Phoebe Fawn in the field for orchestra practice. Phoebe is the Village Orchestra conductor and concert master. She says her instrument is the pan flute, which never goes flat, and which an industrious animal can play even if she has hooves.
Deep in a leafy grove, the clever animals of Hazel Village live in their neat little houses, happy and free. They keep their perky ears attuned to the sounds of their forest home, and use their wits to do helpful and kind projects for their neighbours.
At Hazel Village everyone does their best to follow the good example of the animals. The company and the animals have the same core values: they are resourceful, clever, jolly, diligent, and considerate. They make sure that everyone who works with them is fairly paid and works in good conditions.
Phoebe is made of organic cotton fleece in a lovely shade of caramel brown. She measures 14" tall. Her hooves are made of dark brown organic cotton knit, and her tail is natural organic fleece. Her spots and her face are hand embroidered with cotton thread. She is stuffed with washable polyfill.
